Nonsense Poem

Nonsense Poem

Pete jaggered through the timber
To search for the awful beast, that is said
To reside there. Pete was worried
That the monster wanted to be fed

The more distance he covered the more scaried
He got; he jaggered some more
Then he felt his heart sink
As he heard the ROAR!!!

Out of the blue popped a white fluff
"How could this be?" thoundered Pete
That sound came from that little thing.
For that was a pet he would keep

It bounced to Pete then rolled over
Demasking for a rub on the belly
Pete was fast to agree to the offer
As he neared he realised it was smelly

It smelt of evile and hate
Before his eyes the fluff changed
He grew five feet taller and developed fangs
Now the fluff looked deranged

Now he fully understood the trick of the fluff
now it was clear
Now he must bolt
Now, the end is near

Acrostic poem

Acrostic Poem

You believe in what is there
Only him will do
United as a country
Nothing will stop your feelings
Good things always turn sour

Love in the real world will prevail
Our own simulation
Very realistic, yet not real
Every day we turn a blind eye to the obvious

Fish in the sea

A bright sunny day
The fish swimming together
From the hungry shark

The shark get’s closer
The predator seeks his prey
The fish have no choice

He jumps too early
His prey swims with no urgence
He can not catch them

Original: Passing On, Udiah (witness to Yah)
12 cor 5:8, Eccl 12:7

To be absent from the body
Is to be present with the Lord
The dust returns to earth
The spirit returns to God who gave it

My Poem: A Chance

To be given a body
Is a gift from the Lord
To be given a Chance on earth
Have faith in the Lord who gave it

Shakespearean Sonnet

Winter

Watching the year go by, as fast as light;
Summer, winter, spring, fall, modifying
Our way of life day by day, night by night:
Summer shows up and it’s fine, defying
Jack Frost’s longing for the days to be cold;
Sharp as the fangs of a snake as it bites;
We don’t even expect it. The wind’s bold
And relentless. We continue the fights
Against the white stuff that falls from the sky;
We battle with our shovels and our minds;
We search for defeat, we will not comply;
No way to win the fight is what he finds;
Though he continues to try day by day;
For four long months it is constantly gray.
